Above: Interviewed by the main local media of Makassar city, Glassnet critisized
the Government of Makassar and Tourism Industries that they -Government and Industries- were not aware about how
important these days to foster the peace and tolerant movement, in order to build image of the city.

Above: Glassnet anounced as one of 'independent think tank' by the Mayor of Makassar City,
in March 7th, 2002. Year of 2002 declared as The Year of Tourism Orientation Development of Makassar.
EVENTS:
"Makassar for Peace" event was the first activity to increase collective
awareness and consciousness about environment and "image recovery program" of tourism in order to celebrate the "International
Day of Peace".
At the same time Makassar for Peace also was a combination of to introduce
the internet as an ongoing promotion media in Makassar Tourism industries, along with cartoon exhibition as the
elements of the event.
The event took place from September 21, 2003 as International Day of Peace, to September
27, 2003 as International Day of Tourism.
According to Mr. Warren Whittaker from Ausaid/MTTP the event arrangement was
the first time in Indonesia!
